Coastal Flood WarningModerateDistrict of Columbia...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * LOCATIONS...Shoreline in the District of Columbia. * TIDAL DEPARTURE...2 to 3 feet above normal due to freshwater. * TIMING...Freshwater inundation will cause a prolonged period of at least minor flooding with moderate flooding near times of high tide through this evening, especially north of Hains Point. Additional minor to moderate flooding is possible Monday. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 12:38 pm this afternoon. * IMPACTS...The unprotected area on the Southwest Waterfront at the DC Seafood Market is expected to flood. Water is expected to approach parts of the Hains Point Loop Road, but it will likely be closed. Water is expected to approach buildings near King Street and Union Street. Shoreline inundation is possible elsewhere.
